Calm Sea

SDUSD Virtual Calming Room

This has been created by the SDUSD Counseling and Guidance Department to be a safe space where students and families can find various tools to help with managing their emotions, feelings, and stress.

San Diego County of Education

The San Diego County of Office of Education is committed to supporting school districts, schools, students, and families with resources to improve their mental and emotional wellness. Their goal is to support the removal of barriers that impact student success.

San Diego 24/7 Child Abuse Hotline

Call the County Social Services Department's Child Protective Services Child Abuse Hotline at (858) 560-2191 or (800) 344-6000 to report situations in which you suspect that a child has been abused or appears to be at risk of being abused.

California 24/7 Peer-Run Warm Line

The Peer-Run Warm Line–which began operation in 2014–is a non-emergency resource for anyone in California seeking mental and emotional support. They provide assistance via phone and web chat on a nondiscriminatory basis to anyone in need.

The California Youth Crisis Line (CYCL) operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week as the statewide emergency response system for youth (ages 12-24) and families in crisis.

SWEAR has begun to compile a few different types of resources for parents related to mental health. From knowing about their kid, to finding support for their own struggles, this expanding list will hopefully do a lot for parents in our district.
